Setup guide and feature walkthrough for AI Conversion Detective.

1. Installing the App

Install AI Conversion Detective from the Shopify App Store. You will be redirected to your Shopify Admin and prompted to approve the required permissions. Once approved, the app opens automatically inside your Shopify Admin.

2. Running Your First Scan

After installing, you land on the dashboard. Click Run Store Scan to start your first analysis. The scan typically takes 1–3 minutes depending on the size of your store. You can navigate away — the scan runs in the background and you will see the results when you return.

3. Understanding Your Scan Results

Results are displayed as a list of conversion issues, each showing:

Issues are sorted by revenue impact by default so you can focus on what matters most first.

4. Using the AI Chat

The right panel of the dashboard contains an AI chat powered by Claude. You can:

Chat messages count toward your weekly limit depending on your plan. Your limit resets every Monday.

5. Re-scanning Your Store

You can trigger a new scan at any time from the dashboard. The app also automatically queues a re-scan when significant changes are detected — such as a theme being published or a large batch of product updates.

6. Managing Your Plan

Go to Billing & Plans in the app navigation to view your current plan, see your weekly message usage, and upgrade or downgrade. All billing is handled by Shopify — you will never be asked for payment details within the app itself.

7. Uninstalling

You can uninstall from Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps → AI Conversion Detective → Delete. All your data is permanently deleted within 48 hours of uninstalling. If you reinstall later, the app starts fresh with a new scan.
