AI Conversion Detective is operated by JR Solutions. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our Shopify app, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What Data We Collect

When you install the app, we collect and store the following:

• Store information — shop domain, store name, owner email, Shopify plan, and install timestamp.
• Shopify API data — product listings, theme files, aggregated order statistics, customer counts, and analytics data. This data is accessed at scan time to perform the conversion analysis. Only aggregated statistics are stored; individual order and customer records are never persisted.
• Scan results — the list of conversion issues and revenue estimates generated by the AI analysis.
• Chat history — messages you send and receive in the AI chat feature.
• Session data — authentication tokens required to operate the embedded Shopify app.

How We Use Your Data

• To perform conversion analysis of your store using Claude AI.
• To display your scan history and chat conversations in the app.
• To manage your subscription and enforce plan limits (e.g. weekly AI message quotas).
• To trigger automatic re-scans when your store changes (theme publishes, product updates).

Third-Party Subprocessors

We share data with the following subprocessors in order to deliver the service:

• Anthropic, Inc. — Store data (product pages, theme files, aggregated metrics) is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate the conversion analysis. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Server infrastructure — The application runs on a private VPS in the EU.
• Neon (Vercel, Inc.) — Our PostgreSQL database is hosted on Neon, a managed database service operated by Vercel. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See Neon's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, all associated data — scan results, chat history, session tokens, and store information — is permanently and irreversibly deleted within 48 hours. This deletion is triggered automatically via Shopify's mandatory shop/redact webhook.

Your Customers' Data

We do not store individual customer records. The read_customers scope is used only to retrieve aggregate counts. If one of your customers submits a data request to Shopify, it is forwarded to us via the customers/data_request webhook. Because we hold no individual customer data, no data is returned. Customer redact requests are acknowledged automatically.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase the personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to restrict or object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@jrsolutions.dk.

Cookies

The app is embedded inside the Shopify Admin and does not use tracking cookies. Session authentication is handled via Shopify's OAuth mechanism and stored server-side.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active merchants of material changes via the app interface. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
